PrettyLittleThing decided to put together a report of each state’s most popular reality TV show, and don’t worry; there is a method to the madness. The report shared insight into what Americans love, and we evidently have a soft spot for dating shows; love is love, right?! Arkansas, Delaware, and Maryland are obsessed with Married at First Sight, while property shows like House Hunters do well in California.

Some show choices make sense. For example, The Real Housewives of Atlanta did well in Georgia, and the same can be said for New York and New Jersey. CBS’s The Amazing Race won Oregon, and South Carolina claimed Southern Charm as their winner. Some unexpected wins were West Virginia and South Dakota loving Hoarders and Vermont enjoying Naked and Afraid

So how did PrettyLittleThing figure out what viewers love? The methodology was done to a science as they looked at the highest and lowest-rated TV shows using IMBD. They then went state by state to check out the TV favorites for each and calculated the answer by using volumes for each show. They also looked at which shows were most popular with each gender. PrettyLittleThing also took information from the reality TV stars too and looked at who made the most off of their social media accounts like Cameo and OnlyFans. They used a formula that took the cost per video and multiplied it by 2,000 to estimate their potential earnings. If you didn’t find your favorite on the list, maybe you aren’t binge-watching the series enough. That’s OK, maybe next year yours will make the list! Until then, happy watching.
