Broncos ownership questions linger as court validates authority of Pat Bowlen Trust

The process of identifying a new owner for the Denver Broncos appears to be back at square one — but it could be moving quickly toward a resolution.

The latest development in a saga that has taken various twists and turns over the past several years came late Wednesday afternoon, when a Colorado judge dismissed the lawsuit filed in 2019 by the two oldest daughters of late owner Pat Bowlen against the three-person trust bearing his name.

The motion to dismiss was made by the lawyer representing the daughters, Beth Bowlen Wallace and Amie Klemmer, but it’s unclear whether there was a settlement that precipitated that maneuver.
