Former The Voice coach Gwen Stefani wore custom shoes with husband and co-star Blake Shelton’s face on them after their recent wedding.
Former The Voice coach Gwen Stefani was spotted over the weekend showing love for her new husband Blake Shelton in a unique way. Gwen was photographed on a walk in Los Angeles Saturday wearing custom shoes with an image of Blake on them just weeks after the couple tied the knot. Gwen, 51, first met Blake, 45, when she joined The Voice as a coach alongside the country singer in 2014. The two formed a relationship in 2015, during Gwen’s second season on the show, and got engaged in 2020. Gwen and Blake wed during an intimate ceremony this summer.
The two The Voice coaches both went through public divorces from their respective famous spouses. Gwen was married to Bush lead singer Gavin Rossdale for 14 years until the pair announced their split in 2015. Blake and his fellow country singer ex-wife Miranda Lambert announced their divorce in 2015 after four years of marriage. Following years of dating after meeting on the competition reality show, Blake and Gwen’s wedding took place at Blake’s ranch in Oklahoma over the holiday weekend on July 3. After the public record of their marriage license caused speculation among fans, it was confirmed shortly after the event that the two stars had married in an intimate ceremony officiated by The Voice host Carson Daly.
Gwen has been seen celebrating her new chapter with Blake since their nuptials last month. A report from Page Six shows Gwen out and about wearing Vans sneakers with a black-and-white portrait of Blake on the canvas. In the paparazzi photos, Gwen paired the shoes with Blake’s face on them with a denim jacket and a long-sleeved shirt tied around her waist. The singer also stepped out in sweatpants from her clothing line, Anaheim Hillbillies, the name of which refers to her Orange County, California, upbringing.
An established fashionista in the music industry, Gwen has shown affection for Blake through her outfits over the course of their relationship. In April, Gwen wore a “Shelton” necklace in a video posted on social media celebrating the 25th anniversary of her band No Doubt’s song “Don’t Speak.” Gwen made a creative reference to her partner’s name at the 2020 Grammy Awards, where she wore a white dress adorned with shells on the red carpet. The singer explained the design was a nod to the first syllable of Blake’s last name. Most recently, Gwen’s custom Vera Wang wedding dress was embroidered with Blake’s name, along with the her own and the names of her three children. The star then sported a shorter dress for their reception, paired with heeled cowboy boots to go with Blake’s signature country style.
Blake and Gwen have been no strangers to public displays of affection after sparks flew between them on The Voice. Their social media accounts feature year’s worth of shout-outs and affectionate posts celebrating their romance, with the recent photos from their picturesque wedding gaining plenty of attention. While some speculate the PDA may have just been for show, it’s clear Gwen’s pride in her man will continue into their new marriage as she steps out on casual outings with Blake’s image on her clothing. Because Gwen continues to invoke an effortlessly cool style as a performer and artist, fans can expect more creative fashion moments from the star that show love for her husband.
