IndyCar’s new media rights deal with NBC Sports expands options across the viewing spectrum

IndyCar and NBC Sports announced a multi-year extension of their media rights agreement on Tuesday, continuing a partnership that began with the Versus network in 2009 and will work toward continued growth of IndyCar’s linear and digital audiences.

NBC Sports, which became the exclusive home of IndyCar in 2019, will continue its exclusive coverage of the Indianapolis 500 and increase the series’ network exposure. Financial terms were not disclosed.

The new agreement raises the amount of races broadcast on NBC to 13, with USA Network and Peacock Premium showing the remaining four races — two of which will air exclusively on Peacock Premium. (to be determined at a later date). Peacock Premium will air all races in real-time.
