Even though Kim Kardashian has been spending her summer in Italy, she shared her post-quarantine anxiety with sister Khloé Kardashian on KUWTK.
Keeping Up With The Kardashians star Kim Kardashian has admitted to feeling post-quarantine anxiety now that certain shelter-in-place guidelines are slowly been lifted. The Kardashian-Jenner family received continuous backlash as they took multiple family trips and hosted various parties in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic. The family members took family trips to Lake Tahoe and visited their other properties, such as Kris Jenner’s house in Palm Springs. Moreover, Kendall Jenner faced lots of criticism for throwing a combined Halloween and birthday party where maskless attendees were seen in Instagram videos.
The biggest pandemic vacation that the KUWTK family hosted was Kim’s 40th birthday trip to Tahiti. Kim’s “closest inner circle” joined the Kardashian-Jenner clan as they jetted off in a chartered private jet to the destination birthday celebration. Kylie Jenner was the only family member who did not attend the trip. Kim and the group posted a handful of pictures on social media, and fans then questioned why they would openly break the COVID-19 guidelines. In a tweet where Kim shared pictures, she wrote: “After 2 weeks of multiple health screens and asking everyone to quarantine, I surprised my closest inner circle with a trip to a private island where we could pretend things were normal just for a brief moment in time.” With that said, it’s unclear how Kim and her family tested positive for COVID-19 just days after her birthday vacation.
Recently, billionaire Kim Kardashian opened up to her sister Khloé Kardashian about experiencing some post-quarantine anxiety. In a Keeping Up With The Kardashians bonus scene (included below), the sisters discussed post-quarantine life by the beach at their Malibu vacation house. Kim reflected on her first outing at the NOBU restaurant in Malibu with her ex-husband Kanye West after “not really leaving her house” throughout the quarantine period. “I was so freaked out,” Kim said. The newly-single mother said that fans were attempting to approach her and Kanye for pictures and autographs. “I was just like, absolutely not. I would stop people and be like, ‘Get away. I’m not comfortable with you coming a step closer,'” Kim told her sister.
The E! star also revealed that she believes she had agoraphobia, a fear of places and situations that might cause panic, after experiencing her 2016 Paris robbery. Kim said that she spent most of her time at home for a long time after the robbery, but slowly started to travel right before the country was put on lockdown. “I’m such a freak all over again and never want to, like, leave,” Kim said. Khloé supported her sister’s decision to stay at home because the world is still frightening and unknown, even if the world is opening back up. The Good American founder said, “Protect yourself and your family at all costs. Do what you gotta do.”
Even though Kim attended multiple family trips and parties during the pandemic, she was frolicking in a ghost town world since most people were home. A YouTube user commented under the Keeping Up With The Kardashians bonus scene, “The Kardashian quarantine is not like the rest of the world’s quarantine. They travel in their private jet to a private island. Yeah, I can see how that would give anyone anxiety.” However, Kim has been traveling across Italy for a nice summer vacation full of fabulous outfits and Instagram shots just to prove it.
