Liam Smith vs Jessie Vargas UK start time, TV channel, live stream and ring walks

Whilst the headlines will belong to Katie Taylor and Amanda Serrano as they do battle for the undisputed lightweight championship, there a number of interesting fights on the undercard, including Liverpudlian Liam Smith’s return to action.

The 33-year-old takes on American, Jessie Vargas, as both fighters look to continue operate at a high-level in the Super Welterweight division, with both in the mix for a world title shot at 154lbs. With Smith having already lost three fights during his professional career, defeat on Saturday could seriously damage his chances of earning another world title fight before he hangs up his gloves.

‘Beefy’ is 30-3-1 his professional career and beat Anthony Fowler in his last bout in October, winning via TKO for the WBA International light-middleweight title. Vargas has also competed at world level but hasn’t been under the lights since losing to Mikey Garcia in February 2020 after the 32-year-old was dropped by Garcia in the fifth round, winning via unanimous decision.
