M25 traffic recap as police incident near Chertsey results in long delays
Police were at the scene on the M25
Motorists travelling on the M25 between junction 10 and 11 were warned to expect long delays this afternoon. Traffic in the area had been stopped due to a police led incident.
At this stage the nature of what happened is unknown. However, police held the traffic between 4.25pm and 6pm.
Vehicles were stationary on M25 in both directions between J11 A320 St Peters Way (Chertsey) and J12 M3. As a result, there was congestion to J10 (Wisley Interchange) anticlockwise, and J13 (Staines) clockwise.

Highways England warned of delays up to 40 minutes in the area. Traffic monitoring system Inrix states: “All traffic being temporarily held and stationary traffic due to police incident on M25 in both directions between J11 A320 St Peters Way (Chertsey) and J12 M3.
“Congestion to J10 ( Wisley Interchange) anticlockwise, and J13 (Staines) clockwise. Traffic has been held since around 16:25.”
