The Real Housewives of Orange County stars Braunwyn Winham-Burke and Sean Burke have both been sued over their recent house eviction and unpaid rent.
The recently terminated star of The Real Housewives of Orange County Braunwyn Windham-Burke is facing a lawsuit and an eviction with her husband Sean Burke. News of the lawsuit comes just days after the married couple took to Instagram Live to announce their “trial separation,” which includes moving out of their current home. Now, it looks like Braunwyn and Sean will have to pay their back-owed rent before packing up and moving on.
Braunwyn and Sean kicked the week off by updating fans on their unconventional marriage. After 26 years and seven children together, Braunwyn and Sean still aren’t ready to call it quits for good, so they’re taking some time apart. After confirming she is still dating RHOC alum Fernanda Rocha, Braunwyn and Sean revealed that they have no intentions of ever being intimately involved due to Braunwyn’s identity as a lesbian. They explained how Braunwyn will be heading out to Hawaii with their kids while Sean moves into a new home that’s actually owned by one of Fernanda’s friends. But the Burkes didn’t tie up all their loose ends before making the big announcement.
Amid their “experiment” separation announcement, court documents obtained by Radar Online revealed that Braunwyn and Sean were slapped with a lawsuit for the $45,000 in rent they allegedly owe. Karen Ogden was renting out her Newport Beach mansion to the Burkes before filing a suit against them on the same day they made their Instagram announcement. The suit explains how Ogden leased the home to the RHOC couple back in January 2020 for $15,000 a month and a one-year and six-month lease. However, in recent months of living in the 5-bedroom, 6 ½ bathrooms, 8,000 sq. ft. the owner claims the Burke’s didn’t pay rent for three months.
Braunwyn and Sean were reportedly evicted from the home last month, long before they decided to announce their big move. In the lawsuit, Ogden is asking for the $45K in rent and demanding for the family to leave the property immediately. The owner will certainly get her wish when it comes to them moving out. Braunwyn has already shared her plans for a temporary relocation to Hawaii while Sean will remain in California. But now it looks like Braunwyn and Sean will have to pay up before officially parting ways with the home.
The couple seemed amicable while explaining their plans to “take a few months apart.” After Sean expressed his support for Braunwyn and shared his intentions to start dating other people, the couple explained why they haven’t decided to get a divorce. With their primary focus being their kids, Braunwyn and Sean are sticking it out through thick and thin. During the live chat, one of their daughters even left a comment expressing her support for her parent’s eccentric marriage. It’s good that the family is all on the same page because they have a lawsuit to tend to.
