Software engineer Andrea Meza of Mexico crowned 69th Miss Universe, beating out Miss Brazil

Andrea Meja from Mexico has been crowned Miss Universe.

Meza, who has a degree in software engineering, defeated Miss Brazil on Sunday, when shouting announcer Viva Mexico shouted on Sunday!

Previous winner Jojibini Tunji kept Muza in her head and Maza smiled as she made her first journey to the front of the stage, waiting to be confirmed if she was in her place.

Tunji, a public relations professional who became the first black man from South Africa to win the competition, won the title in December 2012. The epidemic was canceled because of last year’s epidemic.

The competition was presented by Hollywood host Mario LaPez and actress and model Olivia Calpo, Miss Universe 2012. It was broadcast live from the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino Hollywood in Hollywood, Florida.

Prior to this report, Miss Universe organization president Paula M. Schugert said they spent months planning a safe competition, following similar guidelines for the Miss USA pageant held in Memphis last November.

The Miss Universe report was broadcast on the FYI channel and Telemundo in more than 160 regions of the world in the United States.
