Colorado Springs, Colorado (KRDO)-The US Olympic and Paralympic Museum has received national attention after being nominated for the USA Today 2021 Top 10 Readers Award for Best New Museum.
Dedicated to US Olympic and Paralympic athletes and their fascinating stories, the museum focuses on the core values of the Olympic and Paralympic movement.
Tommy Schield, Director of Marketing and Communications, said: Looking at the values of the Olympics and Paralympics, it’s not just sports. In addition to joining the soccer team, I would like to encourage a 5-year-old child to improve his math and spelling tests. Take inspiration as you walk through the museum and feel that you can accomplish what you can’t do.
It soon became one of Colorado’s top attractions, and the 60,000-square-foot museum has already received a lot of praise and criticism.
It’s humiliating, Sierd said. Earlier this year, USA Today was named one of the Best New Attractions of 2020. It was really special And this week we were nominated for another USA Today Award This time is the best new museum.
So why are museums so special and different from other museums?
I think it’s more than a sports museum. This is a museum of hope and dreams. There are exhibitions of arts, sports technology and science. If you name it, it’s inside our building. According to Sierd, we have something for everyone.
If you are part of a youth soccer team, you can wear a jersey and get free admission to the museum this weekend. Next weekend, educators will have free admission.
