The Witcher 3 PS5, Xbox Series X/S Upgrade Comes With Netflix Items

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt for Xbox Series X, PS5, and PC will be getting Netflix-inspired DLC that will add items from The Witcher TV series.

It’s been known The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is getting a big update for Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 5 later this year, but one new detail revealed at WitcherCon has confirmed that the new version of the game will include new items inspired by the Netflix TV series The Witcher. Although developer CD Projekt Red hasn’t given full details, it did tease what fans may be able to find in the game.

Fans can still expect the upgraded version of The Witcher 3 later this year, but CDPR is remaining tight-lipped on what exactly this new version will look like and what other new content it will have packed in. Given how beloved the original game is and how it has managed to sell tens of millions of copies without losing much momentum, especially thanks to the show, it’s likely CDPR will add more than the typical graphical polish to the new version. One such example are items from the Netflix series, which (along with skins) have been speculated on for some time.

At the first-ever WitcherCon, it was revealed that CDPR collaborated with Netflix to add free DLC inspired by the show for the remaster of The Witcher 3. One example given was that fans can expect to see armor inspired by the one Henry Cavill’s Geralt wears in the show, though it’s unlikely it will be a skin that resembles Cavill himself. Not much more was said, but there will be more details in the coming months.
