Villarreal XI vs Liverpool: Predicted lineup, confirmed team news and injury latest for Champions League today

V
illarreal boss Unai Emery is facing a selection dilemma ahead of today’s Champions League semi-final trip to Liverpool.

Gerard Moreno sustained a muscle injury in the LaLiga win over Getafe earlier this month and is set to be sidelined until May.

As such, it remains unclear as to who will replace the Spanish international at Anfield and lead the attack alongside the impressive Arnaut Danjuma, who has been linked with a move to Liverpool.

Media reports in Spain have suggested that Tottenham loanee Giovani Lo Celso could be deployed in a more advanced role, potentially moving Manu Trigueros into midfield.

Paco Alcacer is another option through the middle, while former Arsenal midfielder Francis Coquelin recently returned to training in a boost for Emery.
